Pottery Course - 50% Booking Deposit

Who is this course for:

This course will suit beginners looking for an introduction to working with clay, or those who have worked with clay before and would simply like a refresher. Participants will learn the basics skills required to make some simple forms. 

What should I wear/bring:

Wear comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting messy. I have aprons for all. Please cut your nails before coming as long nails don’t work so well for throwing.

What to expect:

I run a small pottery from my home in Ballyvaughan Co Clare, which is located in the heart of the Burren in the west of Ireland. I am a potter and all the skills you will be taught will be based around the principles of throwing clay on the potter’s wheel. Class sizes are small, full occupancy is 5 so one on one tuition is guaranteed.  A light  lunch will be provided, as will  tea, coffee and some sort of a  treat. Please let me know if you have allergies. Class starts at 10am and runs till 4ish, if you would like to spend more time in the pottery after 4pm to practice the skills that I have taught you are more than welcome to stay on.    

Cancellation Policy:
If you need to cancel your booking, you will receive a full refund of your deposit if you notify us at least 7 days before the course begins.

For cancellations made less than 7 days before the course starts, 50% of the deposit will be retained, and the remaining 50% will be refunded.

What’s Included in the Price:

  • All materials and firing for your pieces

  • You can keep two pots from the workshop

  • A light lunch and refreshments throughout the day
